REBRAND YOURSELF By Beacon Praise

It's obvious seeing some people dwelling in their past when they suppose to move on to present.... Life lesson has become stumbling block for so many people that they find it difficult to decide what next step is to take to move into next phase of life..... stuffs like heart break, financial break down, mission unaccomplished, inability of human to fulfill their promises has become factors that hinder most of the people today.....
These factors have deranged so many dreams and deprived so many people's happiness.... and still the reflection of those things still lingering in some people's heart because they find it difficult to get ride of this shit quickly.....
But do you want to live in illusion Created by those stuffs forever?
If you continue living in the past thought, the result will be negative always because that illusion created will tells Yo... Yo can't do it since you've failed once.
Get ride of those things that hold you down from taking the next step. Think beyond what you can do and you will see yourself as someone Who is enough and capable of living a joyous and happy Life.... see yourself as the one who need to take the responsibility and stop limiting your capability of making change.
Break the wall of limitation.... decide to move further farther than the point you've make for yourself. Break that spirit that limits your ability of making a big change Yo want people to see.... remember, you can't progress if your mind conceived negative thoughts.....Cast out the negative thinking and improve your conscious mind with positive thinking.
Believe in your ability and potential..... never once think that your dream is unachievable or to big for you. Your past or what you're going through shouldn't make Yo forget and neglect Who Yo are.... You're to choose from the Best and make use of it not to put aside your choice and go for what is available just because of your present circumstances. Note that "Lion doesn't go around eating grass just because of the economy of the jungle.... isn't that Lion been proud but because Lion see itself as the royal of the jungle " So the present condition should not make Yo look down on yourself because you're from a royal family and you need to act like one.
Let go of all that weighs you down.... never keep anything about negative people with you because if Yo do.... those things you kept will keep on reminding you of their sayings.....
Remember, when milk expires... Yo don't pour out the milk and keep the tin.... rather the tin goes together with the milk to avoid the blunt flashback that can bring you down.
It's high time to stand for what you believe in and to be Who Yo have always intended to be

Funke Akindele Amazed Her Family Over Secret Marriage

Funke-Akindele-JJC-473x590
After many rounds of rife speculations of their love tango, actress, Funke Akindele and musician, JJC of the 419 Squad reportedly got married secretly in London yesterday.
Interestingly, it was the day Funke celebrated her birthday, but perhaps what irked many about the secret wedding was the absence of Funke’s family members at the nuptials.
Apart from Funke’s youngest sister, Abimbola, who was only invited to London hastily by Funke, without even being told of the impending wedding until she got to London, no other member of the Akindele family was present at the wedding.Funke-Akindele
A source close to the family revealed that the conspicuous absence of Funke’s principal family members at the wedding could not be unconnected to the fact that the family was not in support of the relationship between Funke and JJC .
So it was only natural for Funke to shut them out of the wedding, since they were never in support of the affair after all, especially her mother, who never hid her disdain for Funke-weddingFunke’s new choice of another man in her life, after her much celebrated first wedding to Lagos big boy, Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, packed off irretrievably, about four years ago .
The source disclosed further that the most devastating part of the scenario was that her family members also got to know about Funke’s wedding when it buzzed the web, a situation which came to the entire family as a shock and rude embarrassment.
The big question, however, on the lips of many is: why would Funke shut out her family from her wedding, even if they had a different opinion about her choice?

Read What Ali baba Have to Say About A Man That Name His Dog Buhari

Ali babaFollowing, the arrest, re-arrest and prosecution of a man, Joe Chinakwe, who named his dog “Buhari”, comedian, Ali Baba has shared a story about his dogs he named: OBJ (Obasanjo), Obama, Thatcher, Abacha, IBB (Babangida), Gaddafi, Clinton, Madiba (Nelson Mandela), among others.
According to Ali Baba, Obasanjo was aware that a dog was named after him, and even joked about it. He said that Obasanjo was impressed when he was told that there is a dog named after him in his (Ali Baba’s) house.
“But then again, OBJ had a different kind of personality and a high sense of humor. Everyone can not be the same. So I understand. And that is all I have to say,” Ali Baba said.
He share the photo above on Instagram and wrote:
My dogs and I back in the day. Must have had like 12 at a particular point in time. Interesting time. That time I mean. I had traveled and returned at night, but was too tired to relate with them. OBJ, the big Alsatian was the head of the pack. Then Obama was the big black and white Great Dane, the Alsatian on the bummer was Thatcher. Thatcher must have given me like 18 puppies… In her good days (X120k per puppy) the ridge back by Thatcher was called Madiba… It arrived from South Africa on the birthday of Mandela… The Second Harlequin Great Dane was named after Queen Amina… But the fiercest of my odds were Chaka, IBB AND Abacha. They took no prisoners. In fact, if I gave you anything I had used before, like shoes or clothes,my advice is not to wear them to my home. Because if Chaka, or Abacha caught a whiff of that item on you… You will not like yourself.
They were my trusted securities and my friend. One time in LEKKI, 1997 or so, a guy scaled the fence into my compound in the night. I was woken up to a shouts of “Oga come o!!!!!” “Oga I am finished!” And Usman my guard was having a good laugh. At 2am! The petty thief was on the roof of my V-Boot. I was more scared for his life than he was of it. Because then we had Chaka, Gaddafi and Clinton. Those who new these dogs will testify to their brutality. Go ask @basorge_tariah and @officialbunmidavies…
But with hindsight now, I am just thanking God. Yes oooo! I have to thank God ooo. That it was not now, that I named my dogs after any sitting president and foreign leaders. In fact, Obasanjo himself was very impressed years later when his friend that brought me a gift from Baba, told him how a dog called OBJ in Ali Baba’s house nearly killed him.
Baba used to warn my wife then, that if she ever decided to have a dog meal, she should not touch OBJ… But then again, OBJ had a different kind of personality and a high sense of humor. Everyone can not be the same. So I understand. And that is all I have to say.
Ali Baba, in his next post also called on the President to call the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) and the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF) to order, adding that the Fulani herdsmen menace, and other issues bedevilling the country have not gotten such swift attention.Ali baba2

Facebook User Shares how She was Allegedly Harassed by a Pastor during “Retreat”

Honey Phoenix PostA Facebook User Honey Phoenix Evarist has shared a story of how her pastor allegedly harassed her sexually at his home during a retreat.
According to her, she was 22 at the time and her mother had sent her to the pastor’s house to undergo deliverance because she “refused to act like a christian”.
She wrote:
In 2013 my mum told me I needed deliverance because I refused to act like a “christian” she took me to a pastor of Omega Fire Ministries (OFM) he said I will do a retreat with him for one month so i went back home to pack my stuff.
This man would always enter my room without knocking. His hands would linger around my breasts when he hugs me…I was uncomfortable but i tried to bring my “mind out of the gutter”.
We used to have night prayers and he would prolong the prayers till his heavily pregnant wife got tired and he’l encourage her to go to bed and rest…once she leaves he starts to tell me how much he loves me and how I don’t need deliverance because there is nothing wrong with me,and how i am a nice girl who her parents misunderstood.
I was not all that surprised and i tried to take advantage of the situation. I would miss prayers or evening service because i knew he wont do anything about it.
But then his wife started to notice that i had too much freedom.and what surprised me was that he did not seem to care…he would try to kiss me when his wife was just one room away…he would wink at me when her back was turned…he would hold my hand at the back seat of the car when we are returning from night vigil. He was like a lovestruck teenager.
I began to avoid him and it made him more desperate…one time he asked if i was avoiding him and I made him know i did not like what he was doing and he told me if i want his P.A could arrange for us to have a quiet time somewhere.
I had to tell the Assistant pastor all that was going on. I still recall the tears and the look of unbelief on his face that night. The assistant did nothing about it…but advised me to pack my stuff and leave before things get out of hand. But I couldn’t leave because the “retreat” was not over.
One night at the night vigil at OFM headquarters in Auchi i went to confide in a friend…and my father’s driver overhead everything and he told my dad once we returned to Abuja.
The sad part about it all was that my parents called the pastor and his wife to ask them…instead of me. And they heaped it all on me. They said i have been misbehaving because I am tired of the “retreat” and i sleep during prayers, I don’t go to the evening services and i have come up with accusations because i want to go.
The good thing was that I moved back home.
Till today I wonder what sort of brains the pastor’s wife had in her head.
While some of the commenters expressed sadness at the story, others blatantly refused to believe in what she said because “there are three sides to a story”.
One commenter said:
Why is it that most parent don’t believe their daughters whenever this kind of issue comes up. My mum’s tenant daughter was suffering serious sexual abuse from her aunt’s husband (her mother’s elder sister’s husband). The girl ran away from them & came to report to her mother but she didn’t believed, the man was still even coming to have sexual intercourse with the girl in her mother’s house whenever the mother is not in. He usually tell the girl never to inform anyone or else she will die. The girl was suffering in silence due to her mother’s non-challant attitude till the day I caught the man in the act. I gave him the most humiliating embarrassment of his life that day.
See other comments:
  • My cousin is encountering similar situation. This is a serious issue! A certain prayer warrior that her mum always bring to the house because the girl is “possessed” . It’s a very sad story. It hurts me everyday.
  • I came to check your page out, and honestly it’s obvious your parents were right, going through your photos you indeed needed a deliverance. How true your story is I can’t tell, but I have definitely seen more crazier folks than you are making up stories. So I dare not believe until we hear the side of the alleged pastor.
  • In as much as i try to believe your story…. I seriously can’t cos there’s always three sides of every story. Your story.. The pastor’s story and the real truth. My dear you just told us your own side of the story. We have to wait for the pastors side then the side of the real truth..  Sorry i doubt your story……

EFCC Opens Probe Again on 2011 subsidy scam

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reopened investigations into alleged N10.9 billion subsidy scams that rocked the petroleum sector in 2011. The antigraft agency has investigated some key officials of the IPMAN Investment Company Limited, a company incorporated by some independent marketers to participate in the importation of refined products into the country in 2011.

Vice Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria IPMAN, Chinedu Okoronkwo, who confirmed the recent development to DailyTrust, said the association has received letters from the Police Special Fraud Unit, Department of Criminal Investigations, inviting some of its members for investigation.
“We at the IPMAN secretariat are happy that the authorities are re-opening this case, because as a vice chairman of this company, we are kept in the dark. We don’t know when and how the IPMAN Investment Company Ltd imported any product, but all we saw was the release of N10.9 billion as subsidy reimbursement, that is why we started asking questions. Let’s keep IPMAN politics aside, this is national issue, let them provide the information and details of how much product was imported, who lifted it, which bank account the marketers paid the money to lift such product, and which bank opened the LC for them to import such product for which they deserved N10.9 billion reimbursement. These are the questions we asked Aminu and co but they rather tried to shift attention to another issue,” Okoronkwo said
He also confirmed that the antigraft agency on August 9th and 11th invited other members of IPMAN Investment and Company like Mike Osatuyi, Baba Kano Jada, Habu Jajere and Mustapha Y. Bawa for questioning.

Nollywood Producer Chioma Okoye Allegedly Assaulted & Threatened for portraying a Woman’s True Life Story in her New Series

Chioma Okoye
Chioma Okoye
Nollywood producer Chioma Okoye is speaking out after she was allegedly beaten, detained unlawfully and threatened recently over the storyline of her new drama series called “Lagos Men”.
According to reports from her lawyer, the series is based on a true life story, however, an agreement was made between a woman (Name withheld), on whose life the story is based, and Chioma Okoye before production started.
The deal for the series was reportedly made back in 2014 and now that the drama series has been released, the affected lady has had a change of mind about publicly telling her story especially in view of the other lives that will be affected.
The series “Lagos Men” focuses on men, marital vows, secrets, scandals and more. According to the producer, the aim of telling the story of the woman was to help give her a voice and also to show what happens in the society with the hope of changing it.
The Producer was allegedly physically abused two weeks ago on the 12th of August, 2016 after her home was invaded by thugs allegedly sent by the woman on whom the series was based. According to reports, the services of the Police Inspector in Ajah Police Division were also employed to force producer Chioma Okoye to take down the series and stop further viewing. Chioma Okoye was also offered #3,000,000 to shut down the movie.
Chioma’s lawyer states “It must be clearly established that the film did not contravene any known law, statute, rules of motion pictures, injurious to reputation, slanderous or libelous. Rather it’s a story created to bring to life people’s rough tides, calculated at superb imagination engagement and to promote good societal values. We have taken steps to protect our client and we shall further seek redress in the court of law on her behalf. They should not conceive that the stupid chance they had on our client that faithful morning, their intimidation, coercion, and threat might deprive her of her rights and all this success, newly appreciated and newly illumined by her fans and the general public.”

50-year-woman Stabbed to death in her House in VGC | Residents Suspect Gateman who is at large

dreamstime_stabA 50-year-old woman’s body was found lifeless over the weekend at her apartment at House J68B, Close 9, Victoria Garden City (VGC), Ajah, Vanguard reports.
A resident who gave his name simply as Okunola, said the victim, identified as Mabel Okafor, was found in the pool of her blood by a man that claimed to have heard voices from the building, consequent upon which police were invited.
“Everyone suspects her private guard. This is because immediately the incident happened, the guard was nowhere to be found. Her phone was also missing. She lived alone,” Okunola said.
Following the development, a report published by Vanguard on Tuesday (August 23) said that indications have emerged that the victim was murdered by her security guard after an argument over his (security guard’s) salary.
The gateman who is at large, was said to have been brought by the deceased’s former gateman, and has only been with her for two months before the tragic incident.
A resident who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said:
Nobody knew that the woman was dead until last Friday. We learned that she was stabbed last Wednesday, but it was not until her church members visited on Friday that they found her decomposing body.
The gate of the building was only bolted, but not locked when the church members came. One of them said they became apprehensive after several calls to her mobile telephone indicated that her line was switched off, prompting them to pay her a visit, only to be welcome with a stench from her room.
Her body was found on the floor of the sitting room downstairs, with a knife protruding out of her stomach.
After her death, some gate men from the suspected culprit’s ethnic group said he had boasted that he would leave an indelible mark on her madam, following argument over increase in his salary.
They said he claimed he was being paid N20,000 but demanded for an increase of N10,000 but the woman refused. The fleeing gate man was quoted by some gate men here to have argued that he usually washed his madam’s car and also swept the compound.
The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, SP Dolapo Badmus, who confirmed the report said:
At about 12AM, upon information received at Ajah Police Division that one Mabel Mang Okafor, 50, was found dead in her room at House J68B, Close 9, VGC, Ajah, a team of detectives attached to the division visited, examined and photographed the scene.
The team discovered that the deceased was stabbed in the stomach by unknown person(s). The corpse has been deposited at a mortuary for autopsy. Meanwhile, effort is on to arrest the perpetrators of the act. The case is under discreet investigation.

Police Re-arrest man who named his Dog “Buhari”, to Arraign him on Monday

Joe Fortmose Chinakwe
Joe Chinakwe

The Ogun State Police Command on Friday said it had re-arrested the trader, Joe Chinakwe, who named his dog “Buhari”.
According to Vanguard, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the state police Public Relations Officer, said that the suspect would be arraigned in court on Monday.
Oyeyemi also stated that Chinakwe, who was earlier released a few days ago, was picked up again based on the Force’s belief that the suspect’s action was capable of provoking an ethno-religious crisis.
Oyeyemi said the rearrest was to prevent the state from being plunged into crisis, adding that the complainant and his sympathisers had threatened to kill the suspect.
“The man is here with us. He is at the Criminal Investigation Department. The charge will be prepared here and he will be arraigned at Sango Magistrate Court on Monday.
He is going to court on Monday because what he did was highly provocative. It can cause an ethnic and religious crisis. We have to be proactive, we cannot fold our arms and allow the state to be plunged into crisis.
In  fact,  the arrest was made to save the suspect’s life because the complainant and his group have threatened to kill him if he comes back and this may trigger violence,” Oyeyemi said.
Chinakwe, who hails from Okwuzu in Aniocha Local government Area of Delta State, had earlier told Vanguard that his dog had been killed by the “Northerners in his community”.
He said the complainant from Niger Republic had connived with a certain Sergeant Musa to humiliate him.
He also said he named his dog “Buhari” because President Buhari is his hero. Read it here. He added that his elder brother also had a dog named “Obama”.

“President Buhari has a good heart; he will bring the country out of the woods” – Pastor Tunde Bakare | WATCH

The General Overseer of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare has called on Nigerians to be patient with President Muhammadu Buhari, adding that the President has a “good heart, and will bring the country “out of the woods”.
He said this while speaking to State House correspondents when he visited the president on Friday.
“It’s too early and just too soon to begin to judge. If there is anything I know about Mr. President, it is that he has a good heart. He loves this country and he wants the country to run well. But it takes time. I know we are all impatient and in a hurry and I trust we will come out of the woods,” he said.
“When you are driving on a wrong direction, for example, you are going to Ibadan and you face Badagry, and you get to Cotonou and you realise you have gone in the wrong direction for too long a time, then you make a U-turn, there will be some suffering you have to go through.
Pain is part of gain. No pain no gain. The years of wastage and all that we have done wrong has finally caught up with us. All we are praying for is wisdom for this government to do things right and to do the right things so that gradually, we can begin to come out of the woods,” he added.

Inspired: Why is Growing a Business So Hard?

'Tale AlimiI cannot count the number of times I have heard this statement!
Business owners lament to me regularly about how hard it is to find the right people and to find funding for their business. Then they turn to the harsh Nigerian economic climate with our current infrastructural challenges. Sometimes, what is supposed to be a business coaching session becomes a therapy session, where I give them a chance to pour their hearts to me and at least get some relief by letting the steam out.
After all is said and done, there are still some businesses that are managing to thrive or at least progress with all the inherent challenges. So what are they doing differently to move the needle and make progress?
They have a clear business strategy
The magic word is ‘clear’ – meaning it is well thought out, and a result of having a clear vision for the expected future of the business. These business owners are not just building to make money, but to serve their customers and they will develop strategies to help them serve more and more customers. This will in turn be motivation for their business growth. We can see how a clear business strategy is driving the growth of some of Nigeria’s fast growing brands like Health plus, House of Tara and SLOT. If you are not clear about where you are going, you won’t be clear about how to get there.
They are building a distinct brand identity
Your brand goes beyond your logo and business card. It encompasses everything your business stands for in terms of how you are represented and how you are perceived by people. Building a distinct brand means being consistent in delivering on your brand promise. Your customers should be clear about what they can expect from you as this becomes your brand identity in the long run. Your brand promise, brand expectation, brand persona, brand perception and brand element should be clear.
They have a clear business structure
These businesses have a clear structure or at least are building their business structure. They have documented processes and a clear organizational structure that assigns roles and functions to their team. Most of their staff have clear key performance indicators, so they know what is expected from them.
I am not saying they are perfect, but they are building with structure in mind, which makes it easy to distribute roles and measure performance. Another reason why this is important is because of decision making; everyone knows what they are responsible for, and this will encourage ownership and decision making.
They are guided by policy not emotions
The business decisions are guided by well documented business policies and not by the emotions of the owners. One trend I noticed especially among female entrepreneurs is letting our emotions affect the way we run our business. I tend to hear words like ‘I am tired’, ‘I am frustrated’ or ‘I feel like giving up’ more from female entrepreneurs than our male counterparts. I am not saying we have more or less problems than they do, I have just noticed that we react more emotionally to our business problems than they do. God bless our female emotions!
However, a business is a separate living entity and should be treated as such. Decisions concerning the business should be made based on laid down policies, and if changes need to be made to the policy, it should be documented and properly communicated.
So what if you are a solopreneur currently running your business by yourself? It is never too early to start putting the structure in place in preparation for when you will have a team of people working with you. You can develop an organization structure and put yourself in all the positions you are currently occupying, so you will develop a consciousness of the roles that need to be filled when the time comes.
Business can be challenging, but you can also make it easier when you put all the above in place.
Are you ready to accelerate your business growth? My business boot camp- Accelerate business growth boot camp is now open for registration. You can see the details HERE.

Man Kills Wife’s Lover After He Caught Them In His Room

Igbokwe and his wife Juliet
Ezekiel and Juliet
The police in Ogun state has arrested a man and his wife for allegedly killing his wife’s lover, Victor Olatundun, after he caught them having sex on their matrimonial bed.
PUNCH reports that the man, Ezekiel Igbokwe, 32, allegedly committed the offence at about 12AM at Peace Lodge on Itura Street, Awa Ijebu, Ijebu-North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The duo were among the 23 suspects paraded at the Ogun State Police Command headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, on Thursday, for various offences ranging from murder to illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.
Igbokwe, who said he is a businessman, told journalists that he committed the offence out result of anger and did not intend to kill the man.
“I travelled to Onitsha on July 25, and when I came back on July 27, I met a man inside my room making love to my wife. Then we started fighting. The man was stronger than me.
When I saw he could overpower me, I got a cutlass in my toilet and dealt him blows in the hand and neck. On the way to the hospital, the fuel in the car finished and he died,” he said.
The wife, Juliet, 28, giving an account of what happened said:
He had been disturbing me that he wanted to marry me, but I said I was married.
On the day of the incident, I really can’t say if he used a charm on me. All I know is that he called me that he wanted to see me and I told him not to come; he knew my house and when he came, I didn’t know what happened.
He used to come and deliver snuff to me in the house. On the day of the incident, he told me he was coming from somewhere and that it was already late.
He wanted to sleep in our place till the next day. He didn’t know that my husband was away. He tried to sleep with me, but later he didn’t.
She added that she’s been married to Igbokwe since 2005 and they both have three children, aged 9, 7, and 5. She said that they have been having troubles in the marriage and Igbokwe did not take care of the children.
She added that anytime they had a quarrel, Igbokwe will leave the house for months.
